The Technical Challenge spanned 4 days and was built upon the principles of design thinking and double diamond methodology.

The challenge revolved around innovating the gas station market to address the high costs associated with attendants. The goal was to minimize their involvement in the fuel purchase process while enhancing the overall customer experience. Safety and other attendant responsibilities, such as oil and water checks and windshield cleaning, were key concerns.

During the Discovery stage, desk research explored how gas stations operate in automated systems globally. This research informed the creation of a Matrix CSD, outlining certainties, assumptions, and doubts. Subsequently, a quantitative survey was conducted using Google Forms, reaching out to 100 car owners. Despite being open for only 12 hours, the survey garnered 56 responses.

In the Define stage, tools like Empathy Map, Personas, User Journey, and Product Definition were developed based on the collected insights.

Moving into the development stage, the focus shifted to crafting Information Architecture and wireframes and defining design elements such as color palettes, fonts, and icons. Usability tests were omitted due to time constraints.

The Delivery phase involved designing screens, creating a navigable prototype, and outlining post-development strategies and an action plan for the product.

The project was successfully completed and delivered on November 20, 2020.
